To be precise, it began in 1982 with the founding of the DERBOBEN HOLZIMPORT GmbH sawmill near the center of Hamburg . The founder’s sons later set the course from a purely handicraft business to today’s industrial company.

In 1991 the gate company, which was already the leader in the region, became an important timber dealer, initially trading 8,000 and later more than 20,000 cubic meters. Today the third generation is responsible. Permanent investments in new technology and spacious company buildings, well-trained employees and a network of reliable business partners are today the backbone of the family business, which enjoys an excellent reputation in the timber trade worldwide. 

In the performance areas of our sawmill ,sawn timber , wood pellets , logs and tonewood we pay attention to the highest quality and a reliable and fast service.

Sustainable and careful handling of the forest stock, the basic understanding of nature and responsibility for the following generations characterize an overall concept.

At the DERBOBEN HOLZIMPORT sawmill you buy wood directly from the wood wholesaler . Wood production has always been one of the core tasks of the Schwaiger sawmill. The production capacity makes it possible to process orders of almost any size on schedule. The picking of timber is just as much a part of this as the production of KVH raw materials, laminated beams, as well as round timber , binder , squared timber , construction , boards & more.
